₺3.6 billion support from Halkbank to 39 thousand women entrepreneurs

Stating that they supported more than 39 thousand entrepreneurs with the Women Entrepreneur Support Package, Arslan said, “We stand by our women.”

Halkbank General Manager Osman Arslan said, “Since March 8, International Women’s Day, 39 thousand entrepreneurs across the country have benefited from our ‘Women Entrepreneur Support Package’, which we have designed specifically for women entrepreneurs, and a loan volume exceeding ₺3.6 billion has been realized.” Halkbank Producing Women Meeting, organized to encourage women entrepreneurs, was held in Konya yesterday after Bursa, Gaziantep, Antalya, Trabzon and Samsun. In his speech at the meeting, Arslan said that Konya is an exemplary city with its development structure that integrates agriculture and industry.

Stating that they aim to ensure the participation of all segments of the society in the production force, Arslan said, “In our country, where the participation of women in the workforce is around 34%, an increase in this rate will contribute to the strengthening of both our social and economic structure. For this purpose, we consider standing by our women and supporting their entrepreneurship and productivity as an important part of our banking mission.”

THEY STARTED TO EXPORT

Arslan stated that an entrepreneur operating in the irrigation systems business in Konya has reached the capacity to manufacture the system she trades with the support of Halkbank, has expanded its service to provide training and consultancy to farmers, and started exporting. Another female entrepreneur from Ankara in the auto spare parts sector said that she overcame the cash crunch with the loan she received and created new employment for 30 people.

GREAT ATTENTION FROM CENTRAL ANATOLIA

Arslan pointed out that there was a wide participation from the Central Anatolia Region to the Women Entrepreneur Support Package, and said: “6 thousand women entrepreneurs from Kirikkale, Ankara, Cankiri, Eskisehir, Kayseri, Yozgat, Nevsehir, Kirsehir, Konya, Nigde, Aksaray, Karaman and Sivas benefited from our support, and a total loan volume of more than ₺526 million was reached in the Central Anatolia Region. We stand by our women who want to bring their ideas to life and who want to be involved in working life.”
