₺3 billion loan in three months to 33 thousand women entrepreneurs by Halkbank

Halkbank Producing Women meetings, organized to encourage women entrepreneurs, were held this time in Trabzon after Bursa, Antalya and Gaziantep. Stating that they have realized a loan volume of over 33 thousand and ₺3 billion in 3 months, Halkbank General Manager Osman Aslan said, “The most women between the ages of 34-45 applied for the loan. 46% of the loans came from entrepreneurs in this age group. The second group is women entrepreneurs between the ages of 45-54. Again, 37% of the loans were demanded by trade, 31% by the service sector and 17% by the manufacturing sector.”

Osman Arslan said, “We are pleased to witness that our entrepreneurs who benefited from the loan package have made very successful breakthroughs. For example, one of our entrepreneurs in Rize has turned to marketing the special design clothes that the women in the region have handmade, and realized the first export transaction thanks to the Woman Entrepreneur Loan. Another of our customers from the footwear industry, who received support from women entrepreneurs in Gumushane, grew rapidly and successfully completed the branding process,” said Halkbank General Manager Osman Arslan, who also shared the situation in the Black Sea Region. “About 2 thousand units have been disbursed from our 9 provinces of Amasya, Tokat, Ordu, Giresun, Trabzon, Gumushane, Bayburt, Rize and Artvin, which are located in the Black Sea Region, and a total loan volume of more than ₺177 million has been reached.” The ‘Inspiring Women’ panel was attended by Rahime Akdogan, Former President of Turkish-business Women’s Branches, Babillon Hotel Vice Chairman and TOBB Rize Women Entrepreneurs Executive Board Chairman Yasemin Suyabatmaz, Architect Hatice Ozturk and Birlik Mantar Founder Merve Ulusoy.
