137 thousand 401 houses were sold in Turkey in October

In October, 137 thousand 401 houses were sold throughout Turkey. Housing sales to foreigners increased by 12.1% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 5 thousand 893. Iranian citizens took the first place with 1265 houses.

Housing sales to foreigners in Turkey increased by 12.1% in October compared to the same month of the previous year, and rose to 5,893.

Turkish Statistical Institute announced the house sales statistics for the month of October.

Accordingly, a total of 137 thousand 401 houses were sold in Turkey in October. During this period, foreigners bought 5,893 houses. Housing sales to foreigners increased by 12.1% on an annual basis in October.

The share of house sales to foreigners in total house sales was 4.3%.

In the housing sales to foreigners, Istanbul took the first place in October with 2,464 sales. This city was followed by Antalya with 1385 sales and Ankara with 359 sales, respectively.

In the January-October period, house sales to foreigners increased by 38% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 43 thousand 372.

In October, Iranian citizens bought 1265 houses from Turkey. The citizens of Iran were followed by the citizens of Iraq with 926 residences and the citizens of the Russian Federation with 543 residences, respectively.

THERE WAS A RISE IN MORTGAGED HOUSING SALES

Mortgaged house sales in October increased by 9.7% compared to the same month of the previous year and became 28 thousand 49. The share of mortgaged sales in total housing sales was recorded as 20.4%.

Mortgaged house sales in the January-October period, on the other hand, decreased by 60.7% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 209 thousand 904.

OTHER HOUSING SALES INCREASED

Other house sales increased by 16.3% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and rose to 109 thousand 352. The share of other sales in total house sales was 79.6%.

Other house sales in the January-October period were recorded as 876 thousand 635 with an increase of 17.4% compared to the same period of the previous year.

The number of first-hand house sales in Turkey increased by 13.4% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 41 thousand 914. The share of first-hand housing sales in total housing sales was calculated as 30.5%.

First-hand house sales decreased by 16.9% in the January-October period compared to the same period of the previous year, and amounted to 329 thousand 70.

Second-hand house sales across the country increased by 15.6% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and rose to 95 thousand 487. The share of second-hand housing sales in total housing sales was 69.5%.

Second-hand house sales were recorded as 757 thousand 469 with a decrease of 14.4% in the January-October period compared to the same period of the previous year.
