Istanbul had the highest share in house sales with 39,26 house sales and 17.2%. Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 21,481 house sales and a share of 9.5%, and Izmir with 13,386 house sales and a 5.9% share. Hakkari was the province with the lowest house sales with 44 houses.

14 THOUSAND 23 HOUSES IN EAST MARMARA

According to the data announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute, a total of 14 thousand 23 houses were sold in December 2021 in the provinces of the Eastern Marmara Region. 5 thousand 797 of these residences were sold in Kocaeli, 3 thousand 838 in Sakarya, 1,299 in Duzce, thousand 209 in Bolu and 880 in Yalova.

FOREIGNERS BOUGHT 7 THOUSAND HOUSES

Housing sales to foreigners increased by 77.1% in December 2021 compared to the same month of the previous year and became 7 thousand 841. In December, Istanbul took the first place in housing sales to foreigners with the sale of 3 thousand 300 houses. Antalya was followed by Antalya with 827 house sales, Ankara with 489 house sales, Yalova with 236 house sales, Sakarya with 200 house sales and Kocaeli with 133 house sales. According to the nationality of the country, the most house sales in 2021 were made to Iranian citizens who bought 10 thousand 256 houses. Iran was followed by the citizens of Iraq with 8 thousand 661 residences and the citizens of the Russian Federation with 5 thousand 379 residences.
