242 thousand 826 tourists visited Cappadocia in November

It was reported that 242 thousand 826 tourists visited the Cappadocia region, one of Turkey’s important tourism centers, in November.

According to the statement made by the Nevsehir Governor’s Office, the fairy chimneys, historical churches, chapels and monasteries carved from the rock, historical and touristic centers in Cappadocia, which attract visitors from various parts of the world with its boutique hotels and underground settlements, were visited by 242,826 tourists, 98,860 of whom had a museum card last month.

Zelve Ruins, visited by 73,989 people, was one of the areas that attracted the most attention in November.

Goreme Open Air Museum, visited by 67 thousand 88 tourists, ranked second in the list, and Kaymakli Underground City was third with 35 thousand 194 visitors.

In the same period of last year, 87,700 tourists visited the museums, ruins and other touristic centers in the region.
