$33.46 million shipbuilding agreement between Pakistan and Turkish company

An agreement was signed between the Pakistan Ministry of Maritime Affairs and the Turkish company for the construction of 4 ASD tugboats and 2 pilot ships worth $33.46 million.

In the statement made by the Pakistan Ministry of Maritime Affairs, it was stated that Pakistan Maritime Minister Seyid Ali Haydar Zaidi, Turkey Islamabad Ambassador Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul and Sanmar Maritime officials attended the signing ceremony held in the capital Islamabad.

The statement pointed out that this agreement is an important step taken between the two brother countries.

In his speech at the signing ceremony, Zaidi invited Sanmar Shipping to build shipyards and transfer technology in Pakistan.

Under the agreement, Sanmar Shipping will build 4 ASD tugboats and 2 pilot ships worth $33.46 million to Pakistan in 12 months.
