The adoption of 3D printer technologies is accelerating in Türkiye, enhancing the country’s production capacity and boosting local manufacturers’ international competitiveness, according to MetaTechTR founder Enes Tahiroğlu.
A company statement highlighted that 3D printing — a technology reshaping production and design processes worldwide — has gained strong momentum in Türkiye in recent years. The technology is now used across multiple industries, including healthcare, automotive, construction, and education, offering significant cost and time advantages to manufacturing workflows.
One of the technology’s critical components, filament production, is carried out domestically. Universities and vocational schools are also establishing 3D printing laboratories, providing students with an innovative education model that bridges theory and practical application.
“A strategically important field for technological independence”
Tahiroğlu, who has been active in the industry since 2017, said that the user base — from individual hobbyists to large industrial companies — is growing steadily. He noted that the increasing interest from R&D centers and educational institutions bodes well for the sector’s future.
“With the world-class filaments we develop, we contribute to the domestic market while increasing Türkiye’s export potential. This field holds strategic importance for technological independence,” he said.
Emphasizing that 3D printing is transforming not only production processes but also learning methodologies, Tahiroğlu added:
“When students can turn their ideas into tangible products, it enhances their creativity and problem-solving skills. The widespread adoption of 3D printing will increase Türkiye’s manufacturing capacity and strengthen local producers’ competitiveness in global markets. As MetaTechTR, we will continue to be among the leading companies contributing to this process.”
