Turkish Trade Minister discussed the economic cooperation between Turkiye and Palestine

Evaluating his meeting with Palestinian business people, Minister of Trade Omer Bolat said, “We aim to steadily increase the commercial relations and mutual trade volume between the two countries.”

Minister Bolat met with Palestine’s Ambassador to Ankara Faed Mustafa and a delegation of Palestinian business people at the Ministry of Commerce.

The meeting was closed to the press after members of the press took footage.

Sharing a post about the meeting on his social media account, Bolat stated that they discussed economic cooperation between Turkiye and Palestine and ways to increase the trade volume and said, “We aim to steadily increase the commercial relations and mutual trade volume between the two countries.”

In his post where he also evaluated Israel’s attacks on Gaza, Bolat said:

“We condemn Israel’s brutal and bloody attacks, which do not even comply with the law of war, targeting innocent women, children and elderly civilians in Gaza in front of the eyes of the whole world since October 7, we demand the immediate and full implementation by Israel of the interim injunction decision announced by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on January 26 regarding Israel’s genocide attempt. Under the leadership of our President, our government will continue its work all over the world on ensuring a ceasefire, delivering humanitarian aid to civilians affected by the war, repairing structures destroyed as a result of attacks and recognizing the independent Palestinian state. By continuing our cooperation and support between the two countries in every field, we will continue to take steps that will both strengthen the unshakable alliance of Turkiye and Palestine and increase the peace and prosperity of the brotherly Palestinian people.”

Commercial relations were discussed
