8 million people applied for the “My First Home” project, the largest social housing project in the history of the Republic, in 1.5 months.
Environment, Urban Planning and Climate Change Minister Murat Kurum shared that the citizens showed interest in the project and that the most applications were made from Istanbul.

The institution used the following statements in its statement on its social media account:
“Our nation trusted and believed in our First Home project. 8 million of our citizens applied in 1.5 months. The current number of applications is 5 million 135 thousand 324. Our young people showed the most interest in our project. 2 million 30 thousand 277 young people applied. The highest number of applications is from Istanbul.”
Pointing out that the first foundations were laid last week while the application process was continuing, the institution used the following statements:
“Our nearly 6,000 residences in 17 provinces are rising rapidly. We will draw our lots as soon as possible and complete all of them by March. As we promised, we will deliver 250 thousand residences within 2 years. We would like to thank all our citizens who took care of our project. We have done, are doing, and will do the best for our nation.”
