Economists participating in the AA Finance Balance of Payments Expectation Survey expect the current account to have a deficit of $5.74 billion in March.
AA Finance’s expectation survey on the March 2023 Balance of Payments data to be announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye (CBRT) on Thursday, May 11, resulted in the participation of 22 economists.
According to the survey, the current account is expected to run a deficit of $5.74 billion in March. The current account deficit expectations of economists for the period in question were between $4 billion 129 million and $8 billion 500 million.
While the current account account had a deficit of $8 billion 783 million in February 2023, the annualized current account deficit was $55 billion 362 million.
