Adana: Exports were made to 162 countries in the first 6 months of the year

Adana Chamber of Industry Chairman Zeki Kivanc said that Adana’s exports increased by 35.8% in June 2022 compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching the highest monthly export in its history with $286 million 424 thousand. Kivanc noted that 2022 January-June period exports broke a record as $1 billion 516 million 61 thousand with an increase of 36.4% compared to the same period of the previous year, and exported to 162 countries.

Emphasizing that Adana’s year-end export target is $3.5 billion, President Kivanc said, “As Adana, we strive to increase our share of Turkiye’s exports with each passing day. We will carry these export figures to higher levels with new investment areas in our city. With the completion of ongoing projects in addition to the existing potential, Adana will be one of the provinces that contribute the most to our country’s industrial production and export targets. The continuous upward momentum in our export figures is the biggest indicator of this.”
