Adana passed last year’s total exports in 10 months

Zeki Kivanc, Chairman of Adana Chamber of Industry (ADASO), stated that the exports made in Adana in October increased by 40.12% compared to the same month of the previous year and reached $235.7 million. He stated that Adana is the highest export figure in its history on a monthly basis, and that the total exports of the January-October period of 2021 surpassed the total exports of 2020.

Zeki Kivanc, Deputy Chairman of the Turkish Exporters Assembly and Chairman of the Adana Chamber of Industry, evaluated the export figures announced by TIM. Saying that Adana broke the monthly export record for the 4th time in the same year, Kivanc said, “Adana achieved $235.7 million of exports in October, breaking the record 4 times in the same year. The total exports in the January-October period of 2021 reached $1 billion 961 million, leaving behind $1 billion 837 million of exports that we realized in a total of 12 months in 2020.”

Considering the 10-month data of Adana, Kivanc stated that exports increased by 32.35% compared to the previous year. “In these days when exports are necessary, we see that the wheels of the industry in Turkey and Adana are turning faster and faster. I hope that as Adana, the share we will get from Turkey’s exports will increase day by day.”

Kivanc added that they predicted that Adana exports will reach $2 billion 350 million by the end of the year. “As Adana, I believe that if we focus on exports, we can evaluate our current potential and exceed these figures in the coming periods.”
