Consumer confidence index increased by 5.1% in September

Consumer confidence index increased by 5.1% on a monthly basis in September, reaching 71.5.

Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the consumer confidence index data for September.

Accordingly, the consumer confidence index, calculated from the results of the consumer trend survey conducted in cooperation with TURKSTAT and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye, increased by 5.1% in September, reaching 71.5, while it was 68 in August. Thus, the index rose again after the decline in June, July and August.

In the current period, the household financial situation index increased by 0.1% on a monthly basis to 56.2.

While the household’s financial situation expectation index in the next 12 months was 63.7 in August, it increased by 8.1% to 68.9 this month.

The general economic situation expectation index in the next 12 months, which was 63.1 in August, increased by 7.8% to 68 this month.

The index of thoughts of spending on durable consumer goods in the next 12 months was calculated as 92.7, with an increase of 4.2% in September, while it was 89 in August.
