“Roadmap” cooperation signed between Gazprom and Uzbekistan on natural gas field

A “road map” for cooperation in the natural gas field was signed between the Russian energy company Gazprom and Uzbekistan.

In the statement made by Gazprom, it was stated that Gazprom President Aleksey Miller and Uzbekistan Energy Minister Corabek Mirzamahmudov held a meeting.

During the meeting, cooperation issues between Gazprom and Uzbekistan were discussed, the statement said, “Miller and Mirzamahmudov signed a roadmap for cooperation in the natural gas field.”

Consultations on the establishment of a tripartite natural gas union between Russia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are continuing.

Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitriy Peskov, in his statement in November 2022, stated that natural gas cooperation between Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan would be in the interest of every country, and that it was planned to establish a coordination mechanism in the first place.
