Agricultural Input Price Index Increased by 31.55% Annually and 3.1% Monthly in February

The Agricultural Input Price Index (Tarım-GFE) increased by 31.55% on an annual basis and 3.1% on a monthly basis in February.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced the Tarım-GFE data for February.

According to the data, the index rose by 3.1% in February compared to the previous month, by 7.08% compared to December of last year, by 31.55% compared to February 2025, and by 32.64% based on twelve-month averages.

Main Groups:

  • The index for goods and services used in agriculture increased by 2.96% compared to the previous month.
  • The index for goods and services contributing to agricultural investment recorded a 3.94% increase.
  • Compared to the same month of the previous year, the goods and services used in agriculture index rose by 32.81%, while the goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 24.31%.

Annual Tarım-GFE Comparison: According to the annual Tarım-GFE, 6 sub-groups showed lower changes, while 5 sub-groups showed higher changes.

  • Lowest annual increases: Agricultural chemicals at 18.33% and energy & lubricants at 21.11%.
  • Highest annual increases: Veterinary expenses at 41.37% and animal feed at 37.7%.

Monthly Tarım-GFE Comparison: According to the monthly Tarım-GFE, 7 sub-groups showed lower changes, and 4 sub-groups showed higher changes.

  • Lowest monthly increases: Veterinary expenses at 0.25% and building maintenance costs at 0.97%.
  • Highest monthly increases: Materials at 4.31% and animal feed at 3.73%.
