Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turkish Airlines (THY), announced that he will be a candidate for the management of the Service Exporters’ Association (HIB) with a single list.
Bolat, Chairman of the Board of THY, which makes a large part of the Union’s exports alone, also stated that some of the existing names will not be on the list. Ahmet Akbalik, Vice President of Service Exporters’ Association, announced that he will not be a candidate in the elections. He stated that he took such a decision due to the intensity of his fish business. Speaking at the strategy report meeting prepared for the future of the sector, Bolat said that they set an export target of $110 billion in 2025. Stating that they prepared a detailed report in 10 strategic sectors, Bolat said, “As the sector, we aim to export $110 billion in 2025.”
