Air India Express, India’s first international value carrier, has launched a limited-period offer allowing passengers travelling from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE to pre-book 5 kg or 10 kg of additional baggage at discounted rates.
The promotion is valid for bookings made until 31 January 2026, for travel between 16 January and 10 March 2026, allowing passengers to plan their holidays in advance and take advantage of discounted baggage rates.
Travelers can conveniently make their bookings through the airline’s official website, mobile app, or via all major authorized booking channels, subject to availability.
Under the offer, travelers can purchase extra check-in baggage for $0.53 (BHD 0.2), $0.66 (KWD 0.2), $0.52 (OMR 0.2), $0.55 (QAR 2), $0.53 (SAR 2), and $0.54 (AED 2) per 5 kg or 10 kg, depending on their country of departure. The discount applies across all fare types, including Xpress Value, Xpress Lite, Xpress Flex, and Xpress Biz, and is only available during the booking process.
Air India Express already offers a minimum 30 kg checked baggage allowance on these routes, except for its Xpress Lite fare, which does not include any checked baggage.With this limited-time offer, passengers can now travel with up to 40 kg of baggage, making it more convenient to carry gifts, personal belongings, and essential items when visiting family and friends in India.
