April 2, 2026

AJet, the low-cost carrier subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, has reached 106 destinations across 18 countries as it celebrates its second year of operations, highlighting rapid growth in both domestic and international markets.

Rapid Network Expansion

The airline achieved its 106th destination with the launch of new flights to Bucharest, marking a significant milestone since its first flight on March 31, 2024.

Within just two years, AJet has expanded its network across a wide geographic area, spanning Europe, the Middle East, Turkic republics, and North Africa, while opening 28 new routes in 18 countries.

Strong Passenger Growth

Since its launch, the airline has carried a total of 42.5 million passengers, including both domestic and international travelers, reflecting strong demand for its low-cost model.

AJet has set a target of transporting 25 million passengers in 2026, indicating continued growth ambitions.

Expanding Fleet and Operations

The airline currently operates a fleet of 85 aircraft, with plans to add 46 new-generation planes—including Boeing 737-8 MAX and Airbus NEO models—within 2026.

By the end of the year, approximately 80% of the fleet is expected to consist of next-generation aircraft, improving efficiency and operational performance.

Broader Network Targets

Looking ahead, AJet plans to operate flights to 106 destinations in 36 countries by 2026, combining 39 domestic and 67 international routes.

The airline also aims to expand further to 199 destinations in 56 countries by 2033, underscoring its long-term growth strategy.

Strategic Positioning

Operating primarily from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Ankara Esenboğa airports, AJet continues to strengthen its position as a competitive player in regional aviation, supported by fleet expansion, new routes, and increasing passenger demand.
