ISTANBUL — Turkish low-cost carrier AJet has signed a lease agreement with aircraft lessor BOC Aviation to add five factory-new Airbus A321neo aircraft to its fleet in 2028, supporting the airline’s long-term growth and fleet modernization strategy.
Under the agreement, the five Airbus A321neo aircraft will be delivered in 2028 and will be powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines. The new-generation aircraft are expected to enhance AJet’s expanding route network while improving fuel efficiency, reducing emissions and increasing operational performance.
AJet Chief Executive Officer Kerem Sarp said the agreement marks the beginning of a partnership with BOC Aviation and represents an important step in the airline’s expansion plans.
“The new-generation A321neo aircraft joining our fleet will make a significant contribution to the modernization of our fleet, the expansion of our flight network and our sustainability goals,” Sarp said.
The addition of the new aircraft is part of AJet’s broader strategy to build one of the region’s youngest and most efficient fleets. The Airbus A321neo is recognized for its lower fuel consumption, reduced carbon emissions and improved operating economics compared with previous-generation narrow-body aircraft.
AJet, a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, has been steadily expanding its fleet and destination network since its rebranding in 2024. The latest lease agreement is expected to strengthen the carrier’s capacity to meet growing passenger demand while advancing its environmental and operational efficiency objectives.
