Aksa Jenerator Launches Aksa BESS to Lead Large-Scale Energy Storage Projects in Turkey

Aksa Jeneratör Expands into Energy Storage with New Company Aksa BESS

Aksa Jeneratör has entered the energy storage systems sector by launching a new company, Aksa Batarya Enerji Depolama Sistemleri (Aksa BESS), in partnership with leading battery manufacturer EVE. This strategic move marks a significant step in Aksa’s role in Turkey’s energy transformation.

Turnkey Solutions for Energy Storage

According to the company’s announcement, Aksa BESS will provide a wide range of services including:

  • Production and supply of energy storage systems,
  • Turnkey project development,
  • Engineering and system integration services.

The company aims to become a central solution hub for integrating EVE’s battery technologies into projects across Turkey, offering comprehensive support in implementation and system design.

Three Major Projects Totaling 172 MWh

Aksa BESS has already signed contracts for three large-scale energy storage projects with a combined capacity of 172 megawatt-hours (MWh):

  • Two of the projects will integrate with solar power plants, accounting for 110 MWh in total,
  • The third project is a standalone energy storage facility with a 62 MWh capacity.

These projects will be entirely managed by Aksa BESS, including product supply, engineering, and project execution, making it the first corporate-scale energy storage provider to deliver this magnitude of projects in Turkey.

Completion Expected by First Half of 2026

Planned for completion in the first half of 2026, the projects will be among the largest of their kind ever implemented in Turkey. They are expected to:

  • Support the integration of renewable energy sources,
  • Enhance grid flexibility,
  • Improve energy supply security across the country.

Strategic Milestone for Turkey’s Energy Sector

Aksa BESS General Manager Deniz Şeker emphasized the importance of this initiative:

“Our partnership with EVE, a global leader in battery technology, represents a major milestone—not only for Aksa but also for Turkey’s energy sector.”

He added:

“We’re proud to be launching our first major steps in the field with three large-scale projects totaling 172 MWh. As we implement advanced energy storage systems, we’re also proud to be a trusted solution partner for our clients.”

With Aksa BESS, Aksa Jeneratör is positioning itself at the forefront of Turkey’s clean energy transition, providing innovative and sustainable energy storage solutions tailored for the future.
