Allianz Türkiye Raises Optional Liability Coverage Limits

Allianz Türkiye has introduced a new application aimed at providing stronger protection to customers in the event of traffic accidents by significantly increasing the limits of its Optional Financial Liability (İMM) coverage.

According to a company statement, the insurer now offers more comprehensive protection against high risks and rising costs that drivers may face in traffic. With the latest update, Allianz Türkiye has substantially expanded the limits of the Optional Financial Liability (İhtiyari Mali Mesuliyet – İMM) coverage that can be added to comprehensive auto insurance (kasko) policies.

Under the renewed “Full Protection İMM” coverage, the compensation limit for material damages that may be caused to third parties after an accident has been increased to 100 million Turkish lira. The limit for non-pecuniary damages—an important safeguard in cases involving severe outcomes such as death or permanent disability—has been raised to 25 million lira.

Through the new application, Allianz Türkiye also covers liabilities arising from the use of the insured vehicle, both for the vehicle operator (policyholder) and the driver. The enhanced İMM coverage provides additional protection not only for passenger cars but also for vehicles such as vans, taxis, trucks, tankers, tow trucks, caravans, tractors, and motorcycles.

As part of its goal to make comprehensive auto insurance more accessible, Allianz Türkiye continues to offer various kasko packages tailored to different needs and budgets. In addition to extensive coverage at authorized service centers, the company also provides rich assistance services and fast claims handling advantages.

Batu Öncül, Deputy General Manager for Retail Non-Life Insurance and Executive Board Member at Allianz Türkiye, stated that comprehensive auto insurance remains one of the most important safeguards for drivers amid rising traffic risks and increasing repair and maintenance costs.

He emphasized that growing repair costs can turn even minor damage into significant financial burdens, adding, “In addition, increasing traffic risks and the possibility of high compensation amounts after accidents underline the need for stronger protection.”

Öncül noted that the new regulation ushers in a period of nearly unlimited protection by easing the potential high cost burdens customers may face. “Thanks to the new coverages that can be added to kasko policies, our customers will have stronger financial protection and the highest level of security against high compensation claims,” he said.
