Romania-based AnimaWings Airlines has officially begun operating flights from five Romanian cities to Istanbul Airport. To mark the inaugural flight from Bucharest, a special welcoming ceremony was held at Gate B15. The event, attended by representatives from both İGA (Istanbul Grand Airport) and AnimaWings, concluded with a ribbon-cutting and commemorative photo session.
Starting from October, AnimaWings will operate regular scheduled flights connecting five Romanian cities to Istanbul:
• Bucharest: Five flights per week on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday
• Craiova and Timișoara: Two flights per week each, on Monday and Friday
• Iași: Three flights per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
• Cluj-Napoca: Two flights per week on Thursday and Sunday
With AnimaWings joining its network, Istanbul Airport now hosts 115 airlines, further strengthening its position as a major international aviation hub.
