Ankara-Akyurt road will be opened in 2021: Transport Minister

Adil Karaismailoglu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, made evaluations by examining the construction works of Ankara-Akyurt road.

Karaismailoglu stated that they continued to work within the Ministry in Turkey by taking all measures around the building site despite the epidemic process that has been going on since March, he said:

‘’One of our major projects are on the road again today with the Ankara-Akyurt. It is one of the important projects we have followed in Ankara such as Ankara-Akyurt road, Kahramankazan road and Kirikkale road. Hopefully, we are trying to speed things up by making evaluations and consultations to finish them as soon as possible and put them into the service of our Ankara residents. The Ankara-Akyurt road consists of 17 kilometres. 4 kilometres of this was completed. ,

‘’ We will complete the remaining 13 kilometres within the next year.’’

Noting that two intersections are continuing on the road in question, Karaismailoglu continued as follows:

‘’ After completing the other roads as soon as possible and overcoming the difficulties in the winter period, we will complete these intersections before the end of 2021 and offer them to the service of our citizens. Ankara-Akyurt transportation and the following Cankiri transportation will also become more comfortable. It will make serious contributions to the development of industry and tourism here. ‘’

‘’ We will open the Akhisar ring road on Saturday’’

Emphasizing that there are important developments in land, air and railways and even in space, Karaismailoğlu said:

‘’ We opened the Kars-Sarikamis-Karakurt-Horasan road last week. This Saturday we will open the Akhisar ring road with the participation of our President. ‘’

Karaismailoglu pointed out that the railroad is an important factor in reducing logistics costs in production and exports, and said:

‘’ In this regard, we continue to produce high-speed trains on the one hand, and our work on freight trains on the other. We continue to connect industrial areas and ports to railways. ‘’

Karaismailoglu also provide information about the train first block exports from Turkey to China, he said:

‘’ We had sent our export train from Istanbul it will be using China as a middle aisle. The train made out of the borders of Turkey as of last night and is currently in Georgia. It is expected to arrive in Azerbaijan in the evening today. From there, it will eventually reach Xi’an, China, via the Caspian Sea and Kazakhstan. We are making the schedule of new trains in the coming days. They will cross the line from Beijing to London using the middle corridor and Marmaray. We will send our export products abroad by our trains. ‘’

Minister Karaismailoglu also paid a visit to Akyurt Municipality after inspecting the construction site. During his visit, AK Party Ankara deputies Emrullah Isler, Orhan Yegin, Zeynep Yildiz and Arife Polat Duzgun accompanied Karaismailoglu.
