Tourist Influx to Antalya Surges by 10%, with Russia Leading as Top Visitor Source
Antalya, Turkiye’s premier tourist destination, has achieved a significant milestone, attracting over 9 million tourists in the first seven months of 2024. According to recent data, the number of visitors to the city between January 1st and July 31st reached 9,058,186, marking a 10.06% increase compared to the same period last year.
Russia emerged as the leading source of tourists, contributing 2,040,316 visitors to Antalya’s vibrant tourism scene. Germany followed closely with 1,770,225 tourists, while the United Kingdom secured the third spot, sending 874,356 visitors.
Other key markets contributing to Antalya’s tourist numbers include Poland, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Romania, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. The city’s appeal continues to grow, solidifying its status as a top international travel destination.
Record-Breaking Tourism Month for Antalya
In July alone, Antalya witnessed a remarkable influx of 2,742,965 tourists, representing a 2.71% increase compared to the same month last year. The Russian Federation was again the top contributor, with 598,040 visitors arriving in the city. Germany followed with 441,718 visitors, while Poland ranked third with 223,982 tourists.
Following these top three were tourists from the United Kingdom, Kazakhstan, Romania, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Ukraine, showcasing Antalya’s broad international appeal.
As Antalya continues to attract millions of visitors, the city’s tourism industry is poised for further growth, contributing significantly to Turkiye’s economy and global tourism standing.
