Turan, a local financial technology startup that focuses on the Turkish States, received a seed investment of ₺20 million

United Payment, Colendi Ventures, APY Ventures, KT Portfolio, Tera Portfolio, Neo Portfolio Turkaz Investment Fund, Re-Pie and Azerbaijan’s first venture capital fund Caucasus Ventures participated in the investment round.

Carrying the money transfer process between Turkish States to the digital world, designed for the physical world, Turan announced that it received a seed investment of ₺20 million.

Turan aims to reach approximately 170 million people with the products and financial services it has developed specifically for Turkish States, as well as creating a 100% digital money transfer gateway where they can transfer money to Turkish States such as Turkiye, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan.

Joined Turan’s seed round Investment round with the participation of Birkende Payment, Colendi Ventures, APY Ventures, KT Portfolio, Tera Portfolio, Neo Portfolio Turkaz Investment Fund, Re-Pie and Azerbaijan’s first venture capital fund Caucasus Ventures.

Turan, who recently took the first step in the digital money transfer gateway between Turkiye and Azerbaijan, started to offer the opportunity to transfer money from Turkiye to all bank cards in Azerbaijan within 60 seconds. This feature, which thousands of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan residing in Turkiye have started to benefit from, has also started to create a serious money transfer volume between the two countries since the first month it was put into service.

We are in close relations with the Turkish Diaspora

Speaking about Turan’s seed investment tour, Turan Founder and CEO Ozgur Bayraktar: “We work in close cooperation with the diplomatic representations of the Turkish States in our country, especially the Turkish States Organization (TDT), which was established as an international organization to encourage comprehensive cooperation between Turkish States and brought these states together as a voluntary union. With our new investment tour that we announced today, we will strengthen our presence in the region, especially in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, with new offices that we will open in 2023.”

Starting to operate in Uzbekistan in 2023

Turan plans to solve the problems of sending money to the country of Uzbekistan citizens residing in Turkiye by applying the 100% digital money transfer model, which was implemented in Azerbaijan in 2023, to Uzbekistan in 2023.

Turan Technology Anonymous Company, a financial technologies company established in May 2022, continues its activities with the aim of becoming a new generation finance application that will benefit users living in all Turkish States.
