Earlier this year, during CES 2023 in January, Samsung revealed its new monitor named Odyssey OLED G9 and recently, the company officially launched the product.
Now, the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 ultra-wide monitor is finally available for purchase in the United States, carrying a price tag of $2,199.
The Odyssey OLED G9 features a 49-inch QD-OLED display with a gently curved panel featuring a 1800R curvature. It has a Dual QHD screen resolution of 5,120 x 1,440 pixels,offering a wide and immersive viewing experience with its 32:9 ultrawide aspect ratio. The monitor also supports NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.
Further, it offers a 240Hz refresh rate and a rapid 0.03ms response time for smooth and fluid motion, minimizing lag and blur. It is powered by a Neo Quantum Processor Pro chip that enhances image rendering for exceptional clarity and vividness. The monitor supports HDR10+ and carries VESA’s DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, providing deep blacks and vibrant colors.
As for the software, it runs the Tizen operating system and provides a user-friendly interface with support for popular audio and video streaming apps. It comes with an HDMI 2.1 port, a Micro HDMI 2.1 port, and a DisplayPort 1.4 port for versatile connectivity options. There’s also a USB 3.0 hub, a height-adjustable stand, and support for VESA mounting.
