Pointing out that the number of aircraft landing and taking off at airports reached 83,021 on domestic routes and 88,322 on international routes in June, Uraloğlu stated that aircraft traffic, including overflights, totaled 217,663.
Minister Uraloğlu reported that compared to the same month last year, aircraft traffic increased by 3.8% on domestic routes, 6% on international routes, and 6.4% overall including overflights.
In June, domestic passenger traffic at airports across Turkey reached 9,048,214, and international passenger traffic was 13,645,102. “The total number of passengers served in June, including direct and transit passengers, was 22,723,642. Compared to the same month of 2023, passenger traffic increased by 6.4% on domestic routes, 9.1% on international routes, and 7.9% overall including transit. The cargo traffic at airports in June was 87,078 tons on domestic routes and 376,957 tons on international routes, totaling 464,035 tons,” Uraloğlu evaluated.
“7 Million 55 Thousand 51 Passengers Served at Istanbul Airport in June”
Uraloğlu noted that in June, aircraft traffic at Istanbul Airport reached 10,817 on domestic routes and 34,497 on international routes, totaling 45,314. “At this airport, 1,620,581 passengers were served on domestic routes and 5,434,470 on international routes, totaling 7,055,051 passengers. Compared to the same month last year, aircraft traffic increased by 1%. Passenger traffic in June increased by 4% compared to the same month of 2023,” he said.
At Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, aircraft traffic reached 10,151 on domestic routes and 10,853 on international routes, totaling 21,004 in June, Uraloğlu continued:
“At this airport, 1,825,301 passengers were served on domestic routes and 1,788,413 on international routes, totaling 3,613,714 passengers. Compared to the same month of 2023, aircraft traffic increased by 6% on domestic routes and 1% on international routes, totaling a 4% increase. Passenger traffic increased by 19% on domestic routes and 7% on international routes, totaling a 13% increase compared to the same month last year. General aviation activities at Istanbul Atatürk Airport resulted in 2,495 aircraft movements in June.”
“2,242,185 Tons of Cargo Traffic in the First 6 Months”
Uraloğlu noted that in the first six months of the year, aircraft traffic at airports reached 431,991 on domestic routes and 387,113 on international routes, totaling 1,071,801 including overflights. “Compared to the same period of 2023, aircraft traffic increased by 3.8% on domestic routes, 9.3% on international routes, and 8% overall including overflights,” Uraloğlu reported.
In this period, 46,157,020 passengers were served on domestic routes, 58,568,244 on international routes, and 108,126 transit passengers, totaling 104,833,309 passengers. Compared to the same period last year, passenger traffic increased by 10.2% on domestic routes, 13.1% on international routes, and 11.6% overall including transit. Cargo traffic at airports reached 412,044 tons on domestic routes and 1,829,741 tons on international routes, totaling 2,242,185 tons in the first six months.
“38 Million 92 Thousand 629 Passengers Served at Istanbul Airport in 6 Months”
Uraloğlu noted that in the first six months of the year, aircraft traffic at Istanbul Airport reached 57,783 on domestic routes and 195,332 on international routes, totaling 253,115. “8,154,410 passengers were served on domestic routes and 29,938,219 on international routes, totaling 38,092,629 passengers. Compared to the same period of 2023, aircraft traffic increased by 4% and passenger traffic by 7%,” he said.
At Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, aircraft traffic reached 54,983 on domestic routes and 62,790 on international routes, totaling 117,773 in the first six months. “9,463,044 passengers were served on domestic routes and 10,359,842 on international routes, totaling 19,822,886 passengers. Compared to the same period last year, aircraft traffic increased by 7% on domestic routes and 10% on international routes, totaling a 9% increase. Passenger traffic increased by 21% on domestic routes and 16% on international routes, totaling an 18% increase compared to the same period last year. General aviation activities at Istanbul Atatürk Airport resulted in 13,270 aircraft movements in the first six months,” Uraloğlu evaluated.
“23 Million 891 Thousand 91 Passengers Served at Tourism Center Airports in 6 Months”
Uraloğlu noted that in the first six months of the year, 8,604,682 passengers were served on domestic routes and 15,286,409 on international routes, totaling 23,891,091 passengers at airports in tourism centers. He continued:
“In this period, aircraft traffic reached 67,799 on domestic routes and 98,609 on international routes. At Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, 3,420,585 passengers were served on domestic routes and 1,890,893 on international routes, totaling 5,311,478 passengers. At Antalya Airport, 3,208,734 passengers were served on domestic routes and 11,365,299 on international routes, totaling 14,574,033 passengers. At Muğla Dalaman Airport, 758,476 passengers were served on domestic routes and 1,243,750 on international routes, totaling 2,002,226 passengers. At Muğla Milas-Bodrum Airport, 988,202 passengers were served on domestic routes and 585,921 on international routes, totaling 1,574,123 passengers. At Gazipaşa Alanya Airport, 228,685 passengers were served on domestic routes and 200,546 on international routes, totaling 429,231 passengers.”
