ASKON Hosts “Industry-Driven Growth: Türkiye 2053 Vision Summit”

The “Industry-Driven Growth: Türkiye 2053 Vision Summit”, organized by the Anatolian Lions Businessmen Association (ASKON), was held with the participation of Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır and senior representatives of the business world.

The summit addressed key themes shaping Türkiye’s industrial roadmap toward 2053, including innovation in production, digital transformation, technology investments, sustainable industry strategies, and global competitiveness.

“2053 Vision Is a Strategic Roadmap for Türkiye’s Rise”

In his opening remarks, ASKON President Orhan Aydın emphasized that Türkiye’s 2053 vision aims to build a stronger, more independent, and high-tech industrial nation:

“President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s 2053 vision is not merely a future target, but a strategic roadmap that reflects Türkiye’s determination to lead in technology, industry, exports, and global competition.”

Aydın noted that the vision includes leadership in high-tech manufacturing, qualified industrial transformation, sustainable development, circular economy practices, and a robust presence in global value chains.

He stressed that Anadolu’s production power would be the driving force behind this transformation:

“The true carriers of the 2053 vision are our SMEs, entrepreneurs, and producers. As ASKON, we place the 2053 vision at the center of our strategy and prepare Anadolu’s industrial ecosystem for global competition.”

“Green Deal and Carbon Neutrality Now Shape Global Trade”

Highlighting the transformation Türkiye has undergone in the past 20 years, Aydın said the country has shifted from a traditional manufacturing model to a mindset of innovation and value creation—ranging from defense and chemicals to textiles, machinery, software, and high technology.

He underlined the global transition toward smart, digital, and sustainable manufacturing:

“Today, it is not enough to simply produce. We must produce intelligently, digitally, and sustainably. The new language of industry is digitalization, artificial intelligence, automation, green transformation, carbon-neutral production, eco-friendly technologies, and the circular economy.”

Aydın emphasized that digitalization is one of the core pillars of Türkiye’s 2053 vision and stressed the growing importance of green industry:

“The main determinant of global trade is now the Green Deal and carbon-neutrality goals. To ensure Türkiye does not fall behind in this transition, we are implementing new projects to strengthen our members in carbon management, energy efficiency, green supply chains, and sustainable production.”

“We Will Continue Working Determinedly for a Production-Based Economy”

Aydın described Türkiye as one of the countries best positioned for the future, thanks to its young population, dynamic entrepreneurial spirit, and rapidly developing technology ecosystem.

He also highlighted that the industries of tomorrow will be shaped not only by major factories but by visionary startups founded today:

“Supporting startups, expanding technology clusters, and strengthening university–industry cooperation are among the most critical components of our 2053 vision. As ASKON, we open our doors wide to young entrepreneurs, build a powerful ecosystem for innovative solutions, and prepare Anadolu’s production strength for global competition.”

Aydın noted that ASKON’s Strategic Multi-Partnership Commission is guiding businesses toward new collaborations:

“By creating strong and diverse partnership structures, we offer new horizons to our business community. The 2053 vision is not an easy goal—but our nation has always embraced challenges. As believers in Türkiye’s production potential, we will continue working relentlessly toward higher technology exports, a stronger industrial infrastructure, more innovative enterprises, and a sustainable production economy.”
