At Least 40 Turkish Companies to Participate in the Abia–Turkey Investment Summit and Product Expo in Nigeria

Nigeria’s Abia State is gearing up to host a major economic event that will bring together investors from Turkey and across Africa. The Abia–Turkey Investment Summit and Product Expo (TURAB 2025) will take place in Umuahia from November 25–27, 2025, with participation from at least 40 Turkish companies.

Organized under the theme “Connecting Continents, Sharing Prosperity,” the summit aims to strengthen the trade bridge between Türkiye and Nigeria, fostering multi-sectoral cooperation and investment. Turkish firms are expected to announce multi-million-dollar commitments in key sectors including agriculture, textiles, furniture, renewable energy, construction, and manufacturing.

Major Economic Impact Expected

Jerome Green-Amakwe, Advisor to Abia State Governor Alex Otti and Chairman of the TURAB 2025 Executive Committee, confirmed that “at least 40 investors from Türkiye have confirmed their participation.”

“We expect these investments to generate billions of dollars in local economic impact,” Green-Amakwe said.

Focus on Industrial Transformation and B2B Partnerships

The event aims to position Abia State as a leading industrial and commercial hub in Nigeria. Green-Amakwe highlighted that the summit will offer opportunities for direct business-to-business (B2B) meetings and technology transfer between Turkish and Nigerian companies.

Abia State’s Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Dr. Salome Obiukwu, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to inclusive economic growth and industrial development, stating:

“We have launched a transformation process that will empower our citizens.”

Reviving Idle Industrial Zones

Executives from VEGA Growing Global Enterprise, one of the event’s organizing partners, emphasized that the summit will not only attract new factory investments but also revitalize dormant industrial areas such as the ceramics plant in Umuahia and textile and machinery facilities in Aba.

TURAB 2025 is expected to mark a new chapter in Türkiye–Nigeria economic relations, creating long-term partnerships and promoting sustainable industrial growth across sectors.
