Turkiye: July inflation figures have been announced

On the basis of consumer prices, the highest price increase in July was seen in pharmaceuticals with 18.66%, and the highest price decrease was seen in fuel and oils of personal transportation vehicles with 8.18%.

According to TUIK data, the price increase in medicines was followed by eggs and egg-related products with 16.54%, intercity passenger transportation by rail with 13.8%, and rice with 12.63% last month.

Other products with the highest price increase in July included sports, camping and outdoor entertainment materials with 11.49%, books with 10.54%, potatoes and some tuber plants with 9.29%, intercity passenger transportation by land with 9,08%, vegetables with 8,49% and pasta with 7,91%.

Last month, the biggest price decrease was in fuel and oil for personal transportation vehicles with 8.18%. This was followed by poultry with 6.25%, children’s clothing with 2%, jewellery, watches and wristwatches with 1.22%, and veal with 0.49%.
