Turkcell signed a strategic cooperation with ASPILSAN Energy, which produces domestic Li-ion batteries.
In this context, lithium batteries produced locally by ASPILSAN Energy with national technology will be used in Turkcell’s network infrastructure between 2022 and 2025. With the agreement, approximately 20 thousand 48V 100 Ah Li-ion batteries for 3.5 years will be produced at ASPILSAN’s facilities in Kayseri.
Turkcell Deputy General Manager for Network Technologies Gediz Sezgin said, “We will provide added value to the country’s economy by using domestic Li-ion batteries in our infrastructure.”
