
Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, announced that daily oil production in Sirnak’s Gabar region has reached 78,000 barrels.
In a video shared on social media platform X, Minister Bayraktar emphasized that this milestone is a major step in Türkiye’s journey towards energy independence.
Bayraktar stated, “Yesterday was dark, today is bright. Yesterday there was mourning, today there is hope. The fire burning in Gabar is a symbol of a terror-free Türkiye, a strong future, and energy independence. With over 3,000 jobs and 95 wells producing 78,000 barrels of oil daily, this is a major step towards Türkiye’s energy independence.”
