Beko has opened seven new stores in Hatay as part of its ongoing efforts to support the strengthening of retail infrastructure and the normalization of daily life in the region following the February 6 earthquakes.
According to a company statement, the new stores—launched in districts including Antakya and Kırıkhan—were inaugurated with the participation of senior Beko executives. Sales and service operations that had been maintained through container stores established after the disaster will now continue uninterrupted at the newly opened permanent locations.
Beko currently operates more than 20 stores across Hatay, serving 11 districts. The company aims to further expand its presence and accessibility in the province with additional dealership openings in the coming period.
As part of its “Kadının İşi, Gücü” (Women’s Work, Women’s Power) initiative—designed to support women entrepreneurs and increase female representation within its dealership ecosystem—Beko continues to make an impact in the region’s rebuilding process. Among the newly opened stores are four women entrepreneur dealers from Antakya and Samandağ who maintained their operations after the earthquake.
Arçelik Türkiye General Manager Can Dinçer stated that the company has implemented numerous projects to help restore life in Hatay after the February 6 disaster.
“We approach our initiatives in Hatay as a transformation that contributes to the region’s recovery while strengthening its economic and social resilience. We act with a sense of responsibility that supports the normalization of daily life, empowers communities, and produces sustainable solutions,” Dinçer said.
He noted that their work in the “Umut Kentler” (Hope Cities), implemented in cooperation with Koç Holding, group companies, and AFAD, constitutes an important part of this approach.
Dinçer added that through initiatives such as Kitchen Workshops, Arçelik-Beko Cafés, and a Football School in the Hope Cities, the company supports social life, while customer communication centers opened in Hatay and Malatya contribute to employment.
He also highlighted that the Beko brand serves as the Hope Sponsor of ArsaVev Hatay Women’s Volleyball Sports Club, aiming to strengthen solidarity in the city through the unifying power of sports.
“Through the new stores we have opened in Hatay, we aim not only to contribute to the revitalization of local trade but also to ensure uninterrupted access to products and services for the region’s residents. For us, these stores are more than sales points—they support employment continuity, revive retail activity, and provide uninterrupted service to daily life. We will continue this approach with determination to strengthen social life and sustainably revitalize the local ecosystem,” he said.
Beko Sales Senior Director Burak Bilgisel stated that ensuring the sustainable continuation of dealership operations, reinforcing local commerce, and supporting the normalization of daily life form the foundation of the company’s approach in the earthquake-affected region.
He explained that dealerships whose stores were destroyed or damaged in the earthquake were provided with ready-to-use, modern sales points. Additional support in display and retail operations, as well as region-specific pricing practices, were implemented to maintain dealers’ competitiveness and stand by consumers.
“With the reopening of these stores, we now meet consumers at more than 20 locations in Hatay. In the coming period, alongside new store investments, we will continue renovation and modernization efforts at our existing stores to further strengthen the city’s retail infrastructure in the long term,” Bilgisel said.
