The BIST Food Index, which covers the full value chain from agriculture to the consumer’s table, continues to be shaped by shifts in consumption habits, raw material costs, and volatility in export markets. The index includes 45 listed companies, 10 of which have a market capitalization exceeding 12 billion TL. Beverage manufacturers hold the top three positions in the ranking, with the leading company valued at approximately 154 billion TL.
Coca-Cola İçecek (CCI) tops the list with a market capitalization of 153.9 billion TL. Despite experiencing declines in both revenue and profit last year, the company’s sales remained flat during the first nine months of 2025. However, profitability continued to erode, with a 26% drop in net profit over the period. Although the stock has trended upward over the past month, it remains well below the 82.08 TL peak seen in July 2024.
According to reporting by Ekonomim’s Zeynep Akta, Anadolu Efes ranks second with a market value of 85 billion TL. The company’s biggest challenge remains the trustee appointed by Russian authorities to its joint venture in Russia. The temporary management team changed the subsidiary’s name and logo last September. Although the ownership structure has not changed, the joint venture no longer provides an active contribution to consolidated financials. The stock currently trades at roughly 50% below its July 2024 level of 30.22 TL.
