Turkiye’s exports reached $20 billion 78 million in July

Turkiye’s exports increased by 8.3% in July compared to the same month of the previous year and reached $20 billion 78 million, and imports increased by 10.5% to $32 billion 295 million.

Temporary foreign trade data for July, created in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Ministry of Trade, were announced.

Accordingly, within the scope of the General Trade System (GTS), exports increased by 8.3% in July compared to the same month of the previous year and reached $20 billion 78 million, while imports increased by 10.5% to $32 billion 295 million.

Foreign trade deficit increased by 14.2% in July compared to the same month of the previous year and rose from $10 billion 702 million to $12 billion 217 million.

The ratio of exports to imports, which was 63.4% in July 2022, decreased to 62.2% last month.

In the January-July period, compared to the same period of the previous year, exports decreased by 0.7% and decreased to $143 billion 287 million, while imports increased by 5% to $216 billion 827 million.

Foreign trade deficit increased by 18.1% in the January-July period and reached $73 billion 539 million.

While the ratio of exports to imports was 69.8% in January-July 2022, it decreased to 66.1% in the same period of this year.

Foreign trade excluding energy and gold

Exports, excluding energy products and non-monetary gold, increased by 9.9% in July from $16 billion 821 million to $18 billion 485 million. In July, imports excluding energy products and non-monetary gold increased by 24.1% and rose from $19 billion 761 million to $24 billion 520 million.

Foreign trade deficit, excluding energy products and non-monetary gold, amounted to $6 billion 35 million in July. Foreign trade volume increased by 17.6% and reached $43 billion 5 million. In the said month, the ratio of exports to imports excluding energy and gold was 75.4%.
