
ANKARA — Birleşim Mühendislik AŞ (Birleşim Engineering) has signed a contract worth $31.86 million (TRY 1.37 billion) for the mechanical and electrical installation works of the Ankara Medipol University Ümitköy Campus Education and Research Hospital, the company announced via the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).
The agreement, signed on January 14, 2026, was concluded between Birleşim Engineering and its subsidiary Erde Mühendislik San. ve Tic. AŞ, and Vega Tesis Yönetim İnşaat Ticaret AŞ. The project is scheduled to be completed within 12 months.
400-Bed University Hospital
The Ümitköy Campus of Ankara Medipol University will host nine faculties and includes a 400-bed university hospital, along with conference halls, R&D offices, laboratories, a rectorate building, a library, an auditorium, and a student dormitory.
Company Background and Energy Investments
Founded in 2002, Birleşim Group is chaired by Mesut Altan. Initially focused on mechanical and electrical engineering, the group expanded over time into construction and energy investments. Since 2020, it has increased its focus on renewable energy, adding licensed solar power plants to its portfolio.
With investments such as Niğde Edikli, Kahramanmaraş Elbistan Uluder, and Bitlis Adilcevaz Gülbahar solar plants, the group has reached a total installed capacity of 55 MW. In wind energy, it completed the Menekşe Wind Power Plant (RES) investment.
Following the acquisition of ZEN Energy in 2023, the group commissioned solar power plants totaling 48 MWp across Burdur, Eskişehir, Kırıkkale, Kütahya, Isparta, and Uşak. Through its renewable energy investments, Birleşim Group aims to contribute to energy supply while reducing carbon emissions.
