BIST 100 index gains 173.64 points at opening session on Wednesday
Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 9,846.39 points,rising 1.80% or 173.64 points from the previous close.
On Tuesday, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index rose 0.48% to close at 9,672.75 points, with a daily transaction volume of 60.5 billion liras ($1.72 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 35.2570 as of 9.55 a.m. (0655GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 36.6972, and the GBP/TRY traded at 44.4936.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,633.50 and the price of Brent crude oil was around $73.22 per barrel.
