The applications of SAHA Initiative, the support program initiated by SAHA Istanbul for the development of domestic and national projects in the defense industry, aviation and space technologies, have been concluded.
According to the SAHA Istanbul statement, SAHA Istanbul Industry cluster, which includes 816 companies and 22 universities in the defense, aviation and space technologies industry, continues to grow as Europe’s largest industrial cluster and contributes to the development of the domestic defense industry with the SAHA Initiative program.
SAHA Istanbul, which was founded in 2015 and implemented many projects, determined 15 companies to be supported in “SAHA Initiative”, based on the evaluation of the forms taken from 11 evaluation board members over a total of 740 points, specific to the entrepreneur company.
The SAHA Istanbul Evaluation Board, which evaluates the applications of SAHA Initiative, which supports those who want to implement their projects that require advanced technology in the sector, will provide support in matters such as the preparation of 15 companies whose design, technology and projects are 100% domestic and national for investor meetings, and legal and technical consultancy.
In the project, where negotiations with the Development Agency continue, great added value will be provided to entrepreneurial companies within the scope of the financial support program.
Within the scope of the program, “preparation for investor meetings, access to investment, training and mentoring, high-level meetings with industry leaders, business development and promotion, free stand allocation and final presentations, access to SAHA Project Committees, financial, legal and technical consultancy, infrastructure access support and first customer access support will be offered at SAHA Expo.

Within the scope of the program, it is also aimed for the entrepreneurial company to know its competitors globally, to understand the competition, to take its place in the global market for the product it has developed, and to participate in project market events with organizations.”
Emphasizing that SAHA Istanbul attaches great importance to the SAHA Initiative program, which will enable the domestic defense industry to develop projects with high added value and compete in the global arena, Bayraktar said that high-tech entrepreneurial companies, especially defense, space and aerospace, have great capacity to develop technology in the country. that he would contribute.
