BMW increased its profits by 223% in 2021 compared to last year. The company is now preparing to pay dividends close to 5 times to its shareholders.

The BMW Group’s net profit increased by 223.1% compared to 2021 last year, reaching €12.5 billion.

In the statement made by the BMW Group, it was reported that the net profit of the group was €3 billion 857 million in 2020, the first year of the Covid-19 epidemic, and increased to €12 billion 463 million last year, with an increase of 223.1%.

In the statement, which stated that the group revenues increased by 12.4% to €111 billion 239 million in the said period, it was noted that the profit of the company was positively affected by the high price of new vehicles and the sales of second-hand vehicles.

13% IS ELECTRIC CARS

BMW Group, which includes brands such as BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce, increased its automobile deliveries worldwide by 8.4% last year to 2 million 521 thousand 514. 13% (328,314) of this consisted of electric cars.

BMW also announced that it will increase its dividend payment from €1.90 to €5.80 per share.
