
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index closed the trading session with a slight decline of 0.10%, ending at 9,312.13 points. Domestic markets in Türkiye will remain closed tomorrow in observance of the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day holiday. Compared to the previous close, the BIST 100 index dropped by 9.51 points, while the total trading volume reached 84.1 billion Turkish lira.
Banking Sector Posts Gains While Holdings and Insurance Decline
The banking index rose by 0.10%, whereas the holding index recorded a sharper decline of 0.90%. Among sectoral indices, financial leasing and factoring led the gains with a strong rise of 4.08%, while the insurance sector suffered the biggest loss, falling by 3.36%.

Due to the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day holiday, all domestic financial markets in Türkiye will be closed tomorrow.
Technical Outlook and Upcoming Data
Analysts highlighted that market participants will be closely watching the release of the Federal Reserve’s Beige Book, along with manufacturing and services Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) data from the U.S. and Europe.
From a technical perspective, resistance levels for the BIST 100 index are observed at 9,400 and 9,500 points, while support levels are identified at 9,300 and 9,200 points.
