Yükselen Çelik’s shares started to be traded on Borsa İstanbul with the ticker code “YKSLN” following the opening bell ceremony. And with this IPO, Steel Service Center in Turkey has been offered to the public for the first time. Yükselen Çelik got high demand from investors in the IPO. The IPO process was realized by a consortium of 27 members led by Gedik Investment.
Opening bell ceremony was held at Borsa İstanbul with the participation of Borsa İstanbul Chairperson Prof. Dr. Erişah Arıcan, Borsa İstanbul General Manager Mehmet Hakan Atilla, Borsa İstanbul Executive Vice President Dr. Korkmaz Enes Ergun, Yukselen Celik Chairperson Yüksel Göktürk, Yükselen Çelik CEO Barış Göktürk, Yükselen Çelik Board Members, Ferhan Göktürk, Burak Göktürk, Berin Göktürk and Gedik Investment Chairperson Erhan Topaç, Gedik Investment CEO Onur Topaç, Gedik Investment General Manager Metin Ayışık.
Pointing out that Yükselen Çelik was the fifth IPO this year, Borsa İstanbul Executive Vice President Dr. Korkmaz Enes Ergun said:
“The total amount of publicly offered shares in 5 initial public offerings in 2019 was TL 231 million. TL 70 million revenue was raised from Yükselen Çelik’s IPO along with nearly 1.701 investors. I would like to thank everyone who took the part of this successful IPO amd I’m welcoming Yükselen Çelik who recently joined Borsa İstanbul’s family.”
In his speech, Yükselen Çelik CEO Barış Göktürk indicated that Yükselen Çelik has made long-term plans so therefore they deciced to do their IPO and they were proud of being the first Steel Service Center in Turkey which has been offered to the public.
