BIST 100 index slightly diminishes 0.69 points from previous close
Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened at 1,375.97 points on Monday, down 0.05% or 0.69 points from the previous close.
At last week’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was up 0.28% at 1,376.67 points, with a daily trading volume of 12.74 billion Turkish liras ($1.46 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 8.6830 as of 9:30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Monday,versus 8.6980 at last week’s close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 10.2930, while one British pound traded for 12.0380 Turkish liras, down from 12.0120.
One barrel of Brent crude oil was sold for $76.36 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
