The daily trading volume on the benchmark index stood at 84 billion Turkish liras ($2.42 billion).
The price of an ounce of gold was $2,661.39,while Brent crude oil sold for around $72.55 per barrel as of 6.36 p.m. local time (1536GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 34.6043, the euro/lira at 36.5023, while a British pound traded for 43.8579 liras.
