Türkiye’s metro exporter Bozankaya has announced that it will produce 12-meter trolleybuses for use in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.
According to a statement from the company, Bozankaya has signed a new agreement with the Prague Public Transport Company, further strengthening its position in the European market.
12-Meter Vehicles to Integrate into the Existing Network
Under the agreement, Bozankaya will manufacture 12-meter trolleybuses specifically designed for Prague. These trolleybuses will be integrated into the city’s existing public transportation system, contributing to a more efficient urban transport network.
The fully low-floor trolleybuses will provide a comfortable travel experience, especially for elderly passengers, children, and individuals with disabilities. Equipped with electric motors, the vehicles will produce zero emissions, minimizing environmental pollution. Additionally, they will operate quietly in city traffic while offering low operating costs.
Bozankaya Chairman Aytunc Gunay, whose remarks were included in the statement, emphasized the importance of R&D and innovation investments, stating, “Our R&D and product development investments enable us to be recognized and preferred internationally. This agreement strengthens our expertise in electric public transportation solutions while increasing our impact in the European market.”
Highlighting the project’s contribution to environmentally friendly transportation goals, Gunay added, “We are honored to support Prague in achieving its environmental goals with our energy-efficient, zero-emission, high-tech trolleybuses. This project is a crucial step in our mission to promote sustainable urban mobility.”
