
BtcTurk has appointed Tevfik Kınık as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its group companies, strengthening its leadership structure as the company continues its domestic and global expansion.
According to a statement from the company, Kınık—who has been serving as a Member of BtcTurk’s Board of Directors—has now assumed the additional role of Group CEO, overseeing all companies operating under the BtcTurk umbrella.
Strategic Leadership Role
Having played an active role in BtcTurk’s strategic decision-making processes for an extended period, Kınık brings extensive experience in finance, technology, and executive management. In his new position, he will be responsible for the strategic management and sustainable growth objectives of all BtcTurk group companies.
BtcTurk said the appointment is aimed at further strengthening its corporate governance structure, as the company continues to grow in Türkiye and international markets with its innovative approach, advanced technological infrastructure, and user-focused products.

Commenting on his appointment, Tevfik Kınık said the company aims to accelerate sustainable growth by extending BtcTurk’s strong corporate culture and vision across all group companies.
“We will continue to develop solutions that create value in technology and finance and contribute to the broader ecosystem,” Kınık said.
Extensive Experience in Finance and Regulation
Tevfik Kınık is a graduate of Ankara University’s Faculty of Political Sciences and holds a master’s degree from Harvard University.
He began his professional career in 1999 at Türkiye’s Capital Markets Board (CMB), where he held senior positions including Head of the Institutional Investors Department and Deputy Chairman of the Board. During his tenure, he contributed to the drafting of Capital Markets Law No. 6362.
While at the CMB, Kınık played a key role in:
- Restructuring the portfolio management sector
- Reforms to the private pension system
- Regulations governing venture capital and real estate investment funds
- The establishment of the TEFAS trading platform
Following the 2008 global financial crisis, he represented Türkiye on committees of the Financial Stability Board (FSB), contributing to efforts to restructure the global financial system.
Senior Executive Roles in Banking and Industry
After his public-sector career, Kınık served as Deputy General Manager in charge of Capital Markets and Loans at Aktif Bank, where he played a role in introducing innovative products in debt instruments and securitization to Turkish capital markets.
He later became the founding CEO of Simah Rating (Tassnief), Saudi Arabia’s first local credit rating agency. Subsequently, he served as CEO of Demirören Holding, contributing to the group’s transformation process.
Kınık joined BtcTurk’s Board of Directors in March 2021, before being appointed as Group CEO.
