Buses, minibuses and midibuses produced in Turkey were exported to 68 countries

Turkey’s bus, minibus and midibus exports increased by 13.98% in the first half of the year compared to the same period of 2021. Sector representatives exported to 68 countries.

According to the compilation made from the records of Uludag Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association, Turkey’s bus, minibus and midibus exports increased by 13.98% in the first half of the year compared to the same period of 2021.

Sector representatives, which increased the export sales from $509 million 911 thousand in January-June last year to $581 million 214 thousand in the same period this year, sent buses, minibuses and midibuses to 68 countries.

In this process, exports of buses, minibuses and midibuses to France, which is the country with the most foreign sales, increased by 18.23%. Exports to France, which were $125 million 606 thousand in the January-June period of last year, increased to $148 million and 510 thousand in the first half of 2022.

Bus, minibus and midibus exports to Portugal, which ranks second, reached $62 million 886 thousand from $2 million 267 thousand. Foreign sales to Germany, which follows this country, decreased by 18.61% from $68 million 273 thousand to $55 million 564 thousand.

The Azerbaijan-Nakhchivan market rose to $41 million 467 thousand

Bus, minibus and midibus exports to the Azerbaijan-Nakhchivan market increased from $4 million 293 thousand to $41 million 467 thousand. Azerbaijan-Nakhchivan became the 4th market in which buses, minibuses and midibuses were exported in the first half of the year.

Bus exports to Italy, which ranks fifth, increased by 3.5% from $35 million 867 thousand to $37 million 121 thousand.

In the first half of the year, compared to the same period of 2021, the United Kingdom ranked 6th with 281.18% increase and $30 million 332 thousand, Romania ranked 7th with 65.91% increase and $17 million 994 thousand, Czechia ranked 8th with an increase of 123.1% and $17 million 815 thousand, Poland 9th with an increase of 345.22% and $15 million 924 thousand, Spain, on the other hand, was recorded as the 10th country to which buses, minibuses and midibuses were exported the most, with an increase of 105.32% and $14 million 494 thousand.

$14 million 389 thousand export to the USA

The export sales of $367 thousand to the USA, which is the 11th country with the most bus exports, in the January-June period last year, increased to $14 million 389 thousand in the same period of this year.

Bus, minibus and midibus exports to Egypt reached $5 million 121 thousand from $73 thousand.

In the same period of last year, $3 million 358 thousand worth of buses, minibuses and midibuses were sold to Qatar, which was not exported.
