BYD Türkiye sold more than 45,000 vehicles in 2025, securing a leading position in Türkiye’s plug-in hybrid and new energy vehicle (NEV) market, according to a company statement.
The company recorded total sales of 45,537 units last year, ranking first in both the plug-in hybrid and NEV segments. Data from the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD) also showed that BYD Türkiye was named “Fastest-Growing Automobile Brand of the Year” in 2025.
According to ODMD figures, BYD Türkiye led the plug-in hybrid market with 25,858 units sold and a 54% market share, while also topping the NEV market with 45,537 units and a 19.1% market share. In the fully electric vehicle segment, the brand ranked third with sales of 19,679 units.
During the year, BYD Türkiye expanded its product lineup to nine models and increased its dealer network to 43 dealerships across 33 cities nationwide. The company also enhanced customer experience through digital services, including a mobile application and Over-the-Air (OTA) technology, which were introduced in February.
On a model basis, the SEAL U DM-i, which was named “Car of the Year” in Türkiye, became the most preferred plug-in hybrid model with 25,858 units sold. The SEAL U family—combining plug-in hybrid and fully electric versions—reached total sales of 30,380 units, while the DOLPHIN led the electric hatchback segment with 4,158 units sold.
Commenting on the results, İsmail Ergun, General Manager of BYD Türkiye, said 2025 was a milestone year for the company.
“We completed a year of rapid growth and delivered more than 45,000 vehicles to our customers,” Ergun said, noting that BYD’s nine-model lineup appeals to a broad customer base across all segments.
Ergun emphasized that BYD offers high-technology electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles with premium features at accessible prices, which has driven strong customer interest.
“As a result, we became the fastest-growing automobile brand of 2025 and finished the year as the market leader in both plug-in hybrid and new energy vehicle segments,” he said. “In the coming period, we will continue to play a leading role in Türkiye’s electric mobility transformation and sustain our growth in the automotive market.”
