BIST 100 index gains over 11 points from previous close
Turkiye’s benchmark stock index opened at 2.392,05 points on Tuesday, rising 11.15 points, or 0.47%, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was up 0.36% to end Monday at 2,380.90 points,with a daily trading volume of 37.6 billion liras ($2.4 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 16.0310 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT), up from 15.8400 at Monday’s close.
The euro/lira exchange rate increased to 17.1350 from 16.8850, while a British pound traded for 20.1660 liras, up from 20.0300 at the last close.
Brent crude oil sold for around $109.44 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time, while the ounce price of gold was at $1,850.70.
