CarrefourSA has opened its 60th Gurme (Gourmet) store, marking the company’s final major investment of the year, according to a company statement.
The new store was inaugurated on the Asian side of Istanbul with the participation of CarrefourSA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kutay Kartallıoğlu and members of the executive board. Continuing its investments, CarrefourSA reached more than 1,250 stores across 77 provinces by the end of 2025, including franchise locations, further strengthening its multi-channel and segment-based growth strategy.
Gourmet Quality for Every Household Need
Built on a total area of 650 square meters, the new store features modern retail architecture and offers a wide product range alongside “Fast Checkout” points designed to provide a quick and convenient shopping experience.
As a hallmark of the Gurme concept, fresh product categories stand out, including a butcher section prepared by expert butchers, daily fresh fish, a rich delicatessen assortment, and fresh fruit and vegetable sections. The store also differentiates itself with a special selection tailored to consumers who prioritize healthy living, organic products, and vegan nutrition.
A coffee corner located inside the store brings together a wide range of options, from international coffee varieties to local flavors. In addition, the “Petfood” section—part of CarrefourSA’s new growth strategy focused on pet products—has also been introduced in the store.
With its extensive beverage range, cosmetics, cleaning products, and dry food aisles, Gurme CarrefourSA aims to meet all household needs with gourmet-quality standards.
“We Will Continue Value-Added Investments in 2026”
Commenting on the opening, CEO Kutay Kartallıoğlu said the company was proud to make a significant investment in the premium segment as the year draws to a close. He emphasized that Gurme CarrefourSA represents an important step in the company’s strategic growth journey.
“By closely monitoring changing consumer expectations, we focus on concepts that create added value,” Kartallıoğlu said. “With its carefully curated product range, special flavors from world cuisines, and a gastronomy-focused shopping experience, Gurme CarrefourSA offers our guests a distinctive retail approach. Through our Gurme stores, we both strengthen our presence in the premium segment and support our goal of profitable and sustainable growth.”
Kartallıoğlu added that the investments made throughout 2025 are a clear reflection of CarrefourSA’s long-term vision and confidence in Türkiye’s retail sector, noting that the company will continue to prioritize customer experience and expand the CarrefourSA difference across all touchpoints in 2026.
