The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye (CBRT) extended the period in the regulation and communiqué in which it determined the provisions on the authority and services of payment and electronic money institutions.
The amendments made by the CBRT to the Regulation on Payment Services and Electronic Money Issuance and Payment Service Providers were published in today’s issue of the Official Gazette.
Accordingly, the compliance period for institutions providing payment services and electronic money issuance services with the provisions of the regulation, which entered into force on 1 December 2021, was extended from 28 February to 30 April.
In line with the aforementioned amendment, the time period has been extended in the Communiqué on Information Systems of Payment and Electronic Money Institutions and Data Sharing Services in the Field of Payment Services Providers of Payment Services.
